Narrative notes include date and time of arrival; professional staff on duty; list of staff vacancies; patient census statistics; notes on new admissions; discharges; deaths; and special interviews with patients about complaints regarding care and treatment, accidents, and injuries.

- The series consists of a scattered collection of plans, specifications, and black-and-white photographs documenting various buildings inspected by the State Fire Marshal. The inspections apparently were undertaken after buildings sustained fire damage, or as a result of applications to install equipment or construct additions to buildings. State and local laws regulated construction, alteration or repair of any building to prevent fires.
