Files consist of correspondence, memorandums, periodical clippings, maps, case files, statistical reports, survey questionnaires, and legislative proposals and bills. Subjects include black flies; influenza immunization and Guillain-Barre Syndrome (Polyradiculoneuritis); dairy herd leucosis; feline leukemia; rabies; live syphilis bacteria; vaccine policies; and legislation and public education efforts to increase immunization for communicable diseases.

- This series documents a typhoid fever outbreak which occurred in Orleans County, New York in the summer of 1989. Records consists of forms which document individual typhoid cases and potential cases. The information on the forms includes personal identifiers, where meals were taken, food consumed, symptoms, and medical treatment administered. Also included are follow up forms for culture-confirmed cases, compiled data, and correspondence with county health departments which were involved in monitoring the outbreak.

Medical data includes lab results; diagnosis (extent, activity, or change in diagnosis); reporting doctor's name and address; hospital name; and admitting and discharge dates.
