Information includes Governor's name and date, patentees, rents reserved and other services, book and folio, denomination and description of the land, and observations. Land grants for the following counties are listed: Albany, Charlotte, Cumberland, Gloucester, Kings, New York, Orange, Dutchess, Queens, Richmond, Suffolk, Tryon, Ulster, and Westchester.

This series consists of financial documents received by the colonial Treasurer's Office in settling public accounts. Documents vary greatly in content and include enumerations of specific expenses paid; a general account of the several emissions of paper currency; queries posed by the Commissioners for Examining the Publick [sic] Accounts; lists of persons owed money by virtue of several legislative acts; and a list of charges of the colonial government "in time of peace."

Summary
These reports of goods imported to New York Colony consist of single page reports containing the name and type of sailing vessel, name of captain, place from which shipment originated, and an itemized list of goods. Most entries document importation of rum but also shipments of cocoa, wine, gin, and brandy are recorded. Scattered reports document the importation of slaves primarily from the West Indies. Many volumes were severely damaged by the 1911 Capitol fire.

Summary
This series originally contained abstracts of warrants recorded in separate volumes of "licenses and warrants" and "treasury warrants". Of the volumes referenced in the abstracts, only one volume of treasury warrants survives (see Series A1887). Warrants were issued by the governor authorizing the state treasurer to pay specified sums to persons who provided goods or services to New York.

Summary
This series consists of loose documents, on which is recorded the amount of excise tax collected on the retail sale of alcoholic beverages in the various counties during a given year. In most documents, the names of commissioners collecting the excise tax in each county are listed along with the amount collected.
