Clinical staff also conducted scientific studies and psychiatric evaluations in an effort to determine causes of criminal behavior and make recommendations for treatment, training, and employment of inmates. Records may include inmate admission blotter; hospital history; social history summary report; admission classification; progress notes; classification cards; pre-parole report; and records from other prisons in which inmate was incarcerated. Also included are separate accounts for Legislative appropriations such as prison enlargement, a new shoe shop, heating apparatus, exploration for iron on state lands, and books for the prison library. The accounts contain detailed entries for labor and supplies and give name of contractor, date of payment, and amount paid.
