- The Public Authorities Control Board, established in 1976, regulates financing, bonding, property acquisition, and construction projects of major public authorities. It approves all acquisitions, financing, and construction projects for the authorities, and also approves funding for all public authorities other than the Thruway Authority and the Municipal Assistance Corporation. This series consists of original applications, along with some related correspondence and memorandums, submitted to the Public Authorities Control Board (PACB) by public authorities seeking approval of project financing. Records request the board's approval pursuant to Laws of 1976, Chapter 38, and the Public Authorities Law, Section 51. For each vetoed bill, the volume provides house (A for Assembly, S for Senate); printed bill number; page in ledger (not extant); name of legislator who introduced the bill; title of bill; and date (usually only the year appears, although sometimes the month and date are also given).
