- This series consists of a daily record of the proceedings of the Courts of Equity (after 1829 known as the Chancery Circuits). The names of the parties and their solicitors, summaries of documents submitted to the court, and the full text or abstract of orders and decrees issued by the court are recorded for each case heard at a session. Also include are rules and minutes of proceedings.

- This series consists of copies of common orders (orders to which a party was entitled without having to show special cause) issued by the Vice Chancellors of the 2nd through 8th circuits. A court rule required the clerks of the circuits to enter common orders in separate bound volumes. Included in this series are orders to appear; for subpoena; for answer; to produce witnesses; for confirmation of report; for injunction; to amend bill; and other orders of a routine nature.

- This series consists of docket books recording final decrees issued by the Vice Chancellor at the request of any party involved in a case. The New York Revised Statutes of 1829 required the Clerks of various Chancery Circuits to maintain such a record and dictated its format. Information recorded includes name of the party against whom the decree was rendered; his county and place of residence; his title; trade or profession; amount of damage, debt, or cash decreed; date and time of docketing; names of all parties involved in the case; and when (if) decree was reversed, discharged, or vacated.

- This series consists of appointments of agents, filed by solicitors, with the Clerk of the 2nd Chancery Circuit. Each appointment contains the name of the agent, date of appointment, place of residence, and the signature of the appointing solicitor. The rule of the court required every solicitor in chancery to appoint in writing an agent in every city or town where the Register, Assistant Register, and Chancery Circuit Clerks maintained offices.
