Administrative History
The State Historical Records Advisory Board (SHRAB) coordinates historical records activities statewide and reviews grant applications to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC). The board was created in 1979 by Executive Order No. 38. Members are appointed by the governor.

Chairs have included Larry Hackman, Bruce Dearstyne who was, for the years 1995-1996, Co-Interim State Archivist as well as Director of External Programs and V. Chapman-Smith, State Archivist, 1996-2002.
