This series consists of historic preservation photographs assembled by the New York State Division of Archives and History, evidently for the purpose of using them in a publication. The photographs depict public buildings, cultural institutions, state parks, bridges, schools, businesses, urban areas, and geographic features like rivers, mountains, and waterfalls (including Niagara Falls). In addition, the images show workers engaged in such activities as fishing, farming, and industry.
