Scope and Content Note
This series consists of published copies of registers of attorneys and counselors created pursuant to Chapter 225 of the Laws of 1899. Each register entry includes name of attorney, residence, date oath or affirmation was filed, court where admitted, and date and place of admission. The last page of each register contains certification, date, and signature of the Clerk. The oaths or affirmations recorded in these printed registers were filed (and certified by the Clerk of the Court of Appeals) during 1898-1905. Recorded data on the attorneys' dates of admission span ca. 1848-1905.
