This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible Web site of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, repeated attempts to capture this site after 2011 were unsuccessful.
B2156-07: This accretion consists of a copy of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey site produced on May 4, 2007, shortly after Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains information about the authority's history and mission, travel and traffic advisories, career opportunities, board and committee minutes (2006-2007), press releases (1998-2007), budgets (2006-2007), annual reports (2001-2006), and financial statements and appended notes (2003-2006). Newsletters (2006-2007), a capital plan (2006), a board meeting calendar (2007), and information about the Port Authority Police are also included. An image gallery of panels from the World Trade Center site viewing wall, a complete timeline of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, photographs and artist renderings of proposed projects (2002-2005), and other materials relating to the restoration of the World Trade Center site and other lower Manhattan buildings, the proposed World Trade Center Memorial, and the Freedom Tower are also present. In addition, this copy contains detailed information relating to metropolitan New York airports, commuter rail systems, bus and rail facilities, bridges, tunnels, ferries, and ports operated by the authority and other entities; a map of commercial and real estate holdings owned by the authority; and a map of the authority's international offices. A listing of vendor bids and awards (2006-2007), forms, and other materials for those seeking to do business with the authority are also present.
B2156-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Web site produced on June 9, 2008, after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains additional board and committee minutes (2006-2008), press releases (1998-2008), budgets (2006-2008), annual reports (2001-2007), financial statements and appended notes (2003-2007), newsletters (2006-2008), and a newer capital plan (2008) and board meeting calendar (2008). Additional materials (2005-2008) relating to the restoration of the World Trade Center site, construction of the proposed Freedom Tower and World Trade Center Memorial, and a downtown revitalization plan are also included.

It includes additional board and committee minutes (2006-2010), press releases (2001-2010), budgets (2006-2010), annual reports (2001-2009), and financial statements and appended notes (2003-2008). Listings of business transactions related to claims against the authority; a list of contracts authorized by the authority's board (2007-2010); information relating to leasing, permits, and insurance (2007-2010); and newsletters (2006-2010) are also included. In addition, this copy contains updated information relating to metropolitan New York airports, commuter rail systems, bus and rail facilities, bridges, tunnels, and ports operated by the authority and other entities. Port of New York and New Jersey trade statistics (1991-2009), a frequently asked questions section, and forms and other materials for those seeking to do business with the authority are also present.
This accretion also includes an April 15, 2011 copy of the World Trade Center Progress section of the Port Authority site. It contains information about and renderings of the World Trade Center Site Plan, a copy of the authority's World Trade Center Report: A Roadmap Forward (2008), quarterly progress reports (2008-2010), and press releases (2006-2011). It also contains directions, information about the history of the World Trade Center, and other information for visitors to the site. Information relating to procurement opportunities and the authority's site-specific Safety, Health and Environmental Program (2010) are also included.
Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site, the videos and many of the images could not be captured properly.

The New York State Archives used Web archiving software to copy these Web sites in order to preserve the information they contain.
