List of filing dates of candidates and committees

This series is a list of filing dates of candidates running for elective office, state and county committees, subdivisions, and miscellaneous committees. These lists were generated pursuant to sections 121, 123, 127, 128, and 129 of the Election Law. The lists of filing dates for candidates contain the name of the candidate, date of filing, number and party affiliation (Democratic, Republican, National Progressive, Socialist, Independence League, Prohibition, Socialized Labor, and Independence). The lists for state and county communities contain the county name, date of filing, number, party, and in some instances, the office being sought.

In addition, there are also lists which break cities, towns, or villages into election districts. These also provide the date of filing and number, and are also referred to as subdivision lists. The miscellaneous lists contain the filing dates and numbers for an assortment of campaign committees. There also appears a list of candidates arranged by county, which not only provides the candidates' filing dates and number, but also the office for which they are running. The list of candidates for New York County does not provide what office they are seeking, only their date of filing, card, and number. All of these lists have been compiled on 72 pages of legal size sheets, which have been consecutively numbered.
