Scope and Content Note
The records in this series pertain to a variety of subjects including appointments, removals, notices, summons, investigations, orders to county officials to take action(s), and duplicate originals of proclamations for special elections. The latter part of the series deals more consistently with appointments, although other subjects are included. Letters of appointment to the secretary listing appointments begin with Box 10 and are, in part, a continuation of material in the earlier boxes. The years of the letters, which are broken down into Departments, Authorities, Judicial, County and UN, may overlap.
