Some video tapes were created as television programs or intended as artistic works; others contain material similar to the audio tapes, as well as documentation of visual arts programs and craft demonstrations sponsored by the Council.
Media found in the series includes audio cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes of various sizes; u-matic and helical scan video tapes; one 45 rpm phonograph recording; and one audioscan filmstrip/audio recording. Technical information related to recording processes is sometimes supplied.
