This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of the New York State Canal Corporation, a subsidiary of the New York State Power Authority.
B2058-06: This accretion consists of a copy of the Canal Corporation site that was produced on December 20, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains information about and maps of the state's canal system, which consists of the Erie, Champlain, Otsego, and Cayuga-Seneca canals, press releases (2004-2006), notices to mariners (2004-2006), and a Report on the Future of New York State Canals (2005). Also included are photographs of canal boats, canals, and adjacent trailways and information about recreational passes and permits, commercial shipping fees, the Erie Canal Greenway Initiative, and grant programs.
B2058-08: This accretion consists of a copy of the Canal Corporation site that was produced on April 20, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains additional press releases (2005-2008) and updated information about boat launches, canal boats available for hire, the Erie Canal Greenway Initiative, and grant programs.
B2058-10: This accretion consists of a copy of the Canal Corporation site that was produced on December 23, 2010, shortly before Governor David A. Paterson (2008-2010) left office. It contains newer press releases (2007-2010), notices to mariners (2007-2010), an events calendar (2010-2011), and information about canal-adjacent trailways. It also includes updated information about boat launches, canal boats available for hire, recreational passes and permits, and commercial shipping fees. Information about the history of the canal system, including educational resources for teachers and students, are also present.
B2058-19: This accretion contains a copy of the Canal Corporation site that was produced on December 30, 2019. It contains information about the corporation's mission and structure; policies and guidelines (2017-2018) governing the corporation's operations; press releases (2015-2019); and financial statements (2016-2018), internal controls reports (2016-2018), and other financial reports. In addition, it contains information about the state's canal system, boating and other recreational activities, the Canalway Trail system, the rehabilitation of the DeRuyter Dam, and the corporation's Earthen Embankment Integrity Program. Information about the history of the canal system, including resources for educators, is also included.
