This series contains documents prepared by the State Board of Elections pursuant to Section 9-216 of the Election Law to certify the official election results for all statewide, congressional, senate, assembly, and supreme court justice elections and statewide ballot proposals.
The records include correspondence to the clerk of the assembly, copies of correspondence to various county court clerks, minutes of the State Board of Canvassers, statements of the total number of votes cast for all candidates for each office, copies of gubernatorial proclamations of elections, certification of the election of each candidate, and copies of statements and returns of the votes for each office.
