Administrative History
Laws of 1827, Chapter 224 required the superintendents of repairs to submit annual accounts to the State Comptroller.
Scope and Content Note
Each annual report lists the number of locks, aqueducts, waste weirs; weigh locks, bridges, scows, buildings; dams, repairs of breaches, and other works or structures completed or repaired during the preceding year, with the cost of new and repair work and total cost in each category. At the head of the report are given the name of superintendent, location of section, and date. There is one bundle for entire canal system for each year with original labels.
