Summary
- This volume contains quantities and prices of labor and materials provided by and amounts owed to private contractors during the construction of portions of the Genesee Valley Canal during the 1850s. At the beginning of the volume, the accounts are arranged in eight groups, with each group pertaining to a range of section numbers. The section numbers span from 78 to 106. Following these, there are accounts arranged in groups by lock number, commencing with Lock 72 and going up to Lock 104. Included in the final group of Lock accounts are accounts relating to the Olean aqueduct. Lastly, there are accounts for work on bridges, grouped once again by section number spanning from 78 to 106.
