Scope and Content Note
This series consists of Medicare/Medicaid Skilled Nursing Facility Reports or Health Related Facility Reports for nursing homes in New York State. At the time of the surveys, the facilities were still active. As a result, the reports in this series are only a sample of the total number that were created, and were collected specifically in years ending in "0" or "5." Field workers of OHSM created these reports to establish compliance with various federal and state regulations of nursing homes. Categories of compliance include governing body, administration and organization, patient rights, medical records, physical environment, and utilization. Additionally, some data included are the number of beds, owners of facilities, names of administrators, and nursing schedules.
