Scope and Content Note
The series consists of daily and weekly schedules detailing the activities, appointments, and meetings of Attorney Generals: Robert Abrams (1980-1982), Dennis C. Vacco (1995-1997), Eliot Spitzer (1999-2006).
18569-94: This accretion consists of daily and weekly schedules from Robert Abrams' first term as attorney general. The bulk of the schedules pertain to Abrams' 1982 re-election campaign, and related material present in the accretion provides a glimpse of campaign tactics, press treatment, and political alignments that formed a part of that campaign.
Included with the campaign calendars is a small amount of related campaign material such as copies of press releases (announcement for re-election, poll results, etc.); convention clippings; lists of newspaper coverage of events; mailgrams confirming travel plans; copies of editorials; scripted remarks for special audiences (e.g., blacks, Conservative Party); memoranda on pre-primary campaign "radio beeper schedules" of press conferences; scripts for television and radio advertisements; and copies of financial disclosure statements of other candidates.
