- This series consists of State Paleontologist's reports detailing the activities of the paleontology section of the State Museum. Reports concern staffing; equipment needs; research; loans and exchanges of specimens; and work completed on State Museum collections and exhibits. Also included are narrative reports on the histories of the State Museum and paleontology section; a five-year report on the paleontology section; and a memorandum on gifts, loans, and exchanges of specimens.

Scope and Content Note
Annual, semi-annual, quarterly and other reports of State Paleontologists Rudolf Ruedemann and Winifred Goldring detail the activities of the paleontology section of the Museum.
Reports concern staffing and equipment needs, research in progress and planned, loans and exchanges of specimens, and work completed on Museum collections and exhibits. Series also includes narrative reports on the history of the State Museum, history of the paleontology section of the Museum, a five-year report on the paleontology section (1943-1948), and a memorandum on gifts, loans, and exchanges of specimens (1929-1946). Most of these reports were prepared for the museum director's use in compiling his annual reports or for use in preparing the annual reports of the Education Department.
