Administrative History
Chapter 147 of the Laws of 1903 authorized the issue of bonds in an amount not to exceed $101,000,000 for the improvement of the Erie, Oswego, and Champlain canals and providing for a submission of the same to the people to be voted upon at the general election to be held in 1903.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of final account forms related to work being done on the Barge Canal and other canals in New York State. The forms include the division (Eastern, Middle, Western); canal; contract number; date; and description of work. The forms include two tables: one lists quantities of material, type of material, and contract price; and a second that lists total amounts and a summary of payments that includes dates of payment, description of payment, monthly payments, and total payment.
