This series consists of detailed maps depicting assembly and senate election districts and congressional districts statewide. Districts are delineated on detailed urban area and statewide maps.

The Department of Transportation at one time possessed very sophisticated cartographic equipment and techniques, which were utilized by various state agencies to create maps such as the ones contained in this series that are not directly related to transportation functions.
Scope and Content Note
These detailed maps depict assembly and senate election districts as well as congressional districts throughout the entire state. The various districts are delineated on detailed urban area maps as well as statewide maps. The maps are printed on mylar and vary in size with some maps measuring as large as 43 by 52 inches.

Custodial History
This series was transferred to the State Archives from the Department of Transportation's Map Information Unit in 2003 shortly after the unit was abolished. The maps were authorized for transfer to the State Archives pursuant to Records Disposition Authorization #20986.
