Scope and Content Note
The series consists of legal case files with "U" numbers, created when the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB) is advised by a party to a PERB proceeding of non-compliance with a board order. These orders originate in a representation or improper practice case, and if they are not implemented the case file is transferred to this series and investigation data is added. Counsel's Office conducts an investigation, and thereafter the case may go to court for further proceedings. If compliance is obtained without court action the file is closed.
The records contain correspondence and (occasionally) brief investigative notes. Supporting documentation, exhibit material, and copies of hearing officer's decisions may also be present. Files combine information relating to PERB proceedings from both the Board and the Office of Public Employment Practices and Representation.
