This series includes complete hearing files from 1916 relating to a proposed garbage reduction plant to be erected on Staten Island. The hearing was held before Dr. Linsley R. Williams, Deputy Commissioner, New York State Department of Health. In addition there are partial records of an earlier hearing held in June 1910 relating to an application by Richmond County residents for the abatement of a public nuisance, namely emissions from industry operating at Constable Hook, city of Bayonne, State of New Jersey.
