Summary
- This series consists of completed questionnaires on liability insurance coverage costs and loss experience gathered as evidence on ways to improve the system of providing liability insurance benefits to volunteer firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty filled out by village officials. Also included are statements, listing nature of injuries and payments made, from county officials on workmen's compensation payments made to volunteer firefighters.

Scope and Content Note
The series contains evidence gathered by the Commission on ways to improve the system of providing liability insurance benefits to volunteer firemen killed or injured in the line of duty.
The series contains two-page questionnaires completed by village officials (with summaries by county) on liability insurance coverage costs and loss experience from 1948 to 1953. The series also contains statements from county officials on workmen's compensation payments made to volunter firemen from 1949 to 1953, including the amount paid and the nature of injuries.
