Scope and Content Note
This series of plans is a remnant of a larger group of records probably destroyed in a local flood in 2007. The series consists of building and structure plans for the Fonda Section (Section 3, District 2) of the New York State Barge Canal System. Records include plans of locks, buildings, dams, and bridges. Plans are also present for the Utica Shop and Office (an early WPA, Federal Relief Act project, 1936), and the layout and design plans for the section shop in Fonda.

Custodial History
This series was brought to the New York State Archives for conservation treatment after being water damaged in a local flood in 2007. It was formally transferred to the Archives in 2008.
