Scope and Content Note
These cards document fight records of approximately 5000 boxers licensed in New York. Results are given for matches held throughout the world as well as in the state. Information varies but typically includes given and professional name of fighter, date of birth, and address. A chronological list of fights held includes dates, locations, opponents, results, names of judges and referees. Other information such as name of manager, dates of required EEGs and results, and dates of mandatory inactivity are sometimes included. Some applications for re-licensing are also included. Cards for many prominent boxers are missing from the records.
