This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Carl L. Marcellino. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.
B2239-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Marcellino's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2000-2006) concerning environmental and other legislation that Senator Marcellino sponsored or supported, events that took place in the 5th Senate District, and other matters of interest to Senator Marcellino's constituents. It also includes the 2005 annual report of the Standing Committee on Environmental Conservation, which Marcellino chaired. Information about tax rebates and other tax relief provisions contained within the 2006-07 Executive Budget and a Long Island environmental photograph contest are also included.
B2239-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Marcellino's official website produced on June 10, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2008) concerning recycling and other legislation that Senator Marcellino sponsored and other matters of interest to Senator Marcellino's constituents. It also includes a "blog post" and forty-seven citizen comments concerning Senator Marcellino's plan to reduce state spending and forty-seven citizen comments concerning his proposals. Information about 2007-08 Executive Budget funding for programs and services on Long Island and the State Brownfield Cleanup Program is also present.
Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, some of the information contained within this site could not be captured in mid-2008. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
