Senator Carl Kruger, a Democrat, was elected to the Senate in a February 1994 special election. He represents the 26th Senate District, which consists of all of part of the Brooklyn neighborhoods of Manhattan Beach, Brighton Beach, Gravesend, Homecrest, Sheepshead Bay, Ocean Parkway, Marleton, Medwood, Flatlands, Mill Island, Mill Basin, and Bergen Beach. He has chaired of the Standing Committee on Social Services and has served as ranking minority member of the Standing Committee on Aging.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Carl Kruger. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.
B2231-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Kruger's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, and press releases (2004-2005) concerning consumer protection and other legislation that Senator Kruger sponsored, schools, hospitals, and road construction in the 26th Senate District, and other matters of interest to Senator Kruger's constituents. A district map is also included.
B2231-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Kruger's official website produced on June 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2007) concerning congestion pricing and legislation that Senator Kruger sponsored, photographs, and a district map.
