This series consists of journals documenting appropriations and expenditures for the design, construction, improvement, repair, and maintenance of state institutional buildings. The journals document work done on state hospitals, buildings operated by the State Board of Charities, state prisons, state normal schools, armories, and miscellaneous other public buildings such as the State Capitol and Executive Mansion. Entries document procurement of building materials and other supplies, as well as payment of draftsmen, vendors, contractors, laborers, inspectors, and other professionals.
