Summary
- The Citizens Advisory Council was established by the Public Service Commission (PSC) in 1976 as a means to increase citizen involvement in, and promote understanding of, the commission's mission. The council was abolished in 1980. This series consists of verbatim accounts of the Citizens Advisory Council's meetings with PSC commissioners and agency staff. Meeting transcripts were prepared for all council meetings (1976-1980) except for the first and the last meetings. Transcripts include discussion, comments, and recommendations.

Administrative History
The Citizens Advisory Council was established by the Public Service Commission (PSC) in 1976 as a means to increase citizen involvement in, and promote understanding of, the agency's mission. The council consisted of fourteen New York residents who met regularly (usually about four times a year) with PSC commissioners and selected agency staff to discuss agency activities and consumer concerns. The council was abolished in 1980.
