This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible websites of the Governor's Office for Motion Picture and Television Development, which acts as a liaison between local governments, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the New York State Office of Parks and Recreation, and other state agencies and professional location scouts to assist filmmakers. Researchers should note that this site was removed from the live Web some time after it was copied in 2015 and its content was incorporated into the main website of the Empire State Development Corporation.

This accretion also includes a March 11, 2015 copy of the office's Twitter feed, which contains summary information about news and events concerning the New York motion picture industry. Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the content contained within this page could not be captured successfully.
