Scope and Content Note
This series includes messages relating to work placement opportunities for patients and letters written to the director of the Rome State School. Much of this series consists of index cards documenting requests from individuals and institutions in the vicinity for patient labor to devote to general tasks such as cleaning. The information on the cards includes contact information of the person placing the request, director's approval, family composition of the requesting individual, work required of the patient, and any special comments such as the amount of time the service is required weekly.
In addition to the index cards, there are three thank you notes written in 1975 and one letter written in 1993.
