These motion picture films and audio tapes chiefly document activities of the Civil Defense Commission, including training in civil defense (specifically, surviving a nuclear attack including importance of fallout shelters), training exercises conducted by the Commission in 1964, and interviews with Commission managers about the operations of the Commission. The films were created to demonstrate the current practices and ideals advocated by the State in regards to civil defense.
