This series contains Auburn Prison's general journal for the period June 1866 to December 1881 and September 1888 to September 1893. This general journal was the principal accounting record of original entry for the prison, listing all financial transactions in chronological order as they occurred. As each transaction occurred, an entry was made in the journal.
