Administrative History
Senator Antoine M. Thompson, a Democrat, was first elected to the Senate in 2006. He represented the 60th Senate District, which consisted of the City of Niagara Falls, the Town of Grand Island, and sections of the City of Buffalo and City of Tonawanda. He served as Chair of the Environmental Conservation Committee (2009-2010).
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of an archival copy of Senator Thompson's official website that was produced on June 13, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, photographs, a district map, and press releases (2008) concerning Senate Democrats' support for brownfields cleanup legislation and other matters of interest to Senator Thompson's constituents. Information regarding various events that were held in the 60th Senate District is also included.
Researchers should note that, owing to the structure of the live site and the limitations of Web archiving technology, most of the information contained within this site could not be captured properly. In addition, some of the navigational links do not work properly. However, identical sets of navigational links appear at the top and the bottom of each page. If the link in one set does not work correctly, click the Web browser's Back button and then click on the corresponding link in the other set.
Researchers should also note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website; the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web at that time.
