Scope and Content Note
This series consists of file conversion cards used by the New York State Archives to track its holdings. The series is divided into three distinct sections: cards that provide old collection number (from when the New York State Library held the materials) in blue pencil, accession number in red pencil, and new State Archives series number in green ink; cards that provide new Archives series numbers along with series titles and shelf locations; and cards that list the series number, title, dates, quantity, and shelf location of each series, organized according to the agency that created it. This third section comprises the bulk of the series.
