This series consists of copies of speeches and testimony delivered by former Commissioners Orin Lehman, Joan K. Davidson, and Bernadette Castro. The remarks were delivered at state and federal legislative hearings and at various other meetings and public events. Some examples include: Commissioner Lehman's testimony on behalf of the National Association of State Outdoor Liaison Officers before the United States Senate Sub-Committee on Parks (June 27, 1978); Commissioner Lehman's statement to members of the New York State Assembly concerning the impact of the Reagan administration's budget proposals on New York State (May 16, 1981); Commissioner Davidson's remarks at the New York State Recreation and Park Society Conference (April 19, 1994); and Commissioner Davidson's press conference concerning the future of New York State's parks system (March 1, 1994).
