Administrative History
Ronald W. Pedersen served as Program Associate, Deputy Program Secretary, and Program Secretary to the Senate Majority Leader during the years 1975-1994.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of files of Ronald W. Pedersen, and include memorandums, draft proposals, unpublished reports, and other documents relating to legislative program proposals prepared for the Senate Majority Leader.
Files include detailed proposals for reorganization and consolidation of Executive Branch agencies, 1971, 1975, and 1991-1992; proposals for increasing competition for state contracts and privatizing some state services, 1990-1991; memorandums and notes concerning coordination of Senate Majority operations and communications with constituents and news media; and other documents relating to legislative priorities.
Records include a preliminary pencil sketch of the Senate Chamber by artist David Coughtry, signed and dated 1977. He prepared renderings for the architectural firm of Mendal, Mesick, Cohen, which designed and implemented the restoration of the Senate Chamber.
