Senator Liz Krueger, a Democrat, was elected to the Senate in a February 2002 special election. She represents the 26th Senate District, which consists of eastern Manhattan neighborhoods from Gramercy Park to Carnegie Hill. She has chaired the Select Committee on Budget and Tax Reform.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of archival copies of the publicly accessible website of Senator Liz Krueger. Researchers should note that in 2009, each Senator was allotted space on the main Senate website and the official sites of individual Senators were removed from the live Web.
B2230-06: This accretion consists of an archival copy of Senator Krueger's official website produced on December 21, 2006, shortly before Governor George E. Pataki (1995-2006) left office. It contains biographical information, photographs, and press releases (2005-2006) concerning Senator Krueger's response to a 2006 Brennan Center for Justice report on New York State legislative reform and other matters of interest to Senator Krueger's constituents. A district map is also included.
B2230-08: This accretion consists of a copy of Senator Krueger's official website produced on June 12, 2008, shortly after the resignation of Governor Eliot L. Spitzer (2007-2008). It contains biographical information, press releases (2008), photographs, and a district map. Also included are community bulletins (2007-2008) concerning tenant rights and other matters of interest to Senator Krueger's constituents and a Senate Minority Conference publication, "Yes! You Can Go to College: Financial and Academic Support Programs for Low-Income New Yorkers" (2007-2008).
