Summary
- This series consists of Register's statements on mortgage foreclosure cases handled by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor respectively. Each contains totals of bills filed for mortgage foreclosure, decrees issued for sale of mortgaged premises, and sales conducted. Also included is an alphabetical case list enumerating the complainant, defendant, costs allowed by the court and the decree amount awarded. Entries for cases in which a sale actually took place include the property's sale amount and the total costs in the case.

This series consists of the Register's statement on mortgage foreclosure cases handled by the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor. The statements for the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor are separate.
Each contains totals (for 1838 and 1839) of bills filed for mortgage foreclosure, decrees issued for sale of mortgaged premises, and sales actually conducted. These statistics are followed by alphabetical listings of cases for 1838 and 1839 respectively, each entry containing the names of the complainant and defendant, the costs allowed by the court and the amount of money awarded by the decree. The entries for cases in which a sale actually took place include the property's sale amount and the total costs in the case.
Custodial History
The Court of Appeals placed these records on deposit at the Historical Documents Collection, Queens College, from 1973-1982.
