Microfilm of records for Rockland County include Sewer Commissioners meeting minutes (1963-1994), comprising executive board meeting minutes for all sewer districts; County Clerk subdivision maps (1822-1987); and County Court records for Supreme Court (1842-1899), Magistrate's Court (1809-1889), Surrogate's Court (1836), Court of Chancery (1828), Records of Judgment (1809-1840), and Justice Court (1884-1888).
Microfilmed court documents include calendars, minutes, jury lists, pleadings, affidavits, petitions, orders, judgment rolls, and executions for the Rockland County court of common pleas (pre-1847) and county court (post-1847). Some of the filed documents pertain to proceedings in other courts, particularly the Supreme Court, Court of Chancery, and the courts having criminal jurisdiction.
